WebDec 22, 2014 · I'd heard legends of the Brook 12A, so when a customer of mine told me he had one to bring to me for repair/restoration, I was very interested in the job. The reality is the the amp is in rough condition and needs a comprehensive rebuild; at present, it's a big box full of leaky capacitors. The PT and OPT seem to be OK via some non-powered tests.
